The building of Australia's new man-o'-war, the Brisbane, was in progreis at the Federal shipbuilding works in Sydney during the recent visit to that city of Mr George Fraser, Mayor of Northcote. He took an opportunity of inspecting the work proceeding, and describes it as 'being quite equal to that of the Old Country. He also saw two tiaval vessels of a small type in process of building. Ail were being constructed from the raw material.
