The New Zealand I <oan and Mercantile Agency Company (Stratford branch) report: On Thursday, (ith iii-t., we held a clearing sale on behalf of Mr Geo. R. Algie, Gordon Road, near Toko. There was a fair attendance, but the stock offered, more particularly the cows, were in low, backward condition, and late calvers wil'h the exception of a few fair cows, which met with keen competition and realised full value. The lew-condi-tioned and later cows were neglected, but everything offered was sold at full market values, the sundries realising very good value: Milk-cans, 9s to 12s; casks, 6s each; milk dray, £9; cart harness, £3; grass mower, £4 15s; hayrake, £2 15s; F.F. drill, £2l; chain harrows, 30s; Reid and Gray plough, £0; dogcart, £lO ss; sows,'low-condi-tioned, £2 2s Gd; cows, early calvers made from £G 10s to £ll, liter ones £5 to £(i, store cows £3 15s to £4 10s; heifers, three-year-old, £5 ss; two-year-old-lieifers, £3 15s; weaners, 29s to 365; bull, three years old, sgns: yearling bull, £4; dogs from 7s to 10s- »rev gelding, £0 10s.
