In moving the adoption of the report and balance-sheet, the Chairman said that considering the poor cheese market last season the position was very satisfactory. At the beginning of the season a good market had been expected, but industrial troubles and ol'.ier matters had intervened to its do!: luient. The cost of manufacture had slightly increased, but so 'had the output. He urged the necessity of increased supplies, without which tHic company could not liopo to do as well as others. For the two vacancies on the, directorate there were nominated Messrs J. .Mucker, J. Knowles, and D. Swanson. Messrs Swanson (44) and Knowles (52) were duly elected. Mr L. M. 'Monteatli was appointed auditor at a remuneration of £4 4s. At a subsequent meeting of directors Mr Knowles was reappointed chairman. PORTIONING OCT THE WHEY. dn reply to a question, the Chairman said that the only way to improve the system of apportioning out the whey would be to measure it out, and if eom" plaints continued this would be resorted to despite the expense. Mr iiucker agreed, saying that the manager should keep a sharp watch on the whey and see that no one got more than his share. Mr Bowling said the manager was busy and did his best. Mr liucker moved that the manager be instructed to deal with those who took more than their share, and report tliom to the directors. Mr Stevenson moved as an amendment that the company should guarantee that each supplier would got (ho proper quantity of w'hey.
