The Lokal Anzeiger says that when the German sword has again slid into its scabbard "everything we hope and wish will be consummated. We will stand before the world as its mightiest nation, which then at last will be in a position, with its moderation and forbearance, to give the world peace, enlightenment and prosperity." The Kaiser has decreed Wednesday as a universal day of prayer. THE GERMAN FLEET. MASSED IN THE NORTH SEA. London, August 5. The Express' Copenhagen correspondent says that part of the German Baltic fleet has passed through the Kiel Canal and is now massed in the North Sea off Jutland. German Dreadnoughts also bar the Great Belt and the Fehmcrn Belt. Denmark fears that her territory may be made the cockpit of war, and is making every effort to preserve her neutrality.
