Mr. Newton King intends leaving San traneiscu for New Zealand on August 19 Mr. H. D. Bedford was in Sew Plyuuiutili yesterday in excellent spirits and apparency greatly benefited by his visit to England.
Prior to ileaving tUc Wainmte parish, the Tlfiv. W. P. Stent and 'Mis. .Stent, who are going to Taihape, were recipients of presentations from ihc Okaiawn parishioners. His Worship thfe Mayor (Mr. E. YVil.-on) and Mr. If. Trimble (chairman of the Taranaki Board) are at present Lr. Weljington, where they are to «ive evidence before the Education Committee oil the proposal for the abolitiou of the Taranaki education district.
