DIRTY SALE YARDS. The Health Department forwarded a report by Inspector Fielder complaining of the state of the Stonj Hiver saleyards, and asked that'the Council enforce compliance with his recommendations at- to the vemetalling, drain'tig. and periodical cleaning of the yards. It was decided tr. inform the Department that the matter in not within the Council's jurisdiction. TIMARIT BRIDGE. The Minister for -Public Works notified that the application for a grant towards erecting a bridge over the Tiniaru river on the Ueach road would receive consideration when the estimates were being prepared.
