OIL FOR THE NAVY. The Mines Department has forwarded to the Advisory Board of the Taranaki (N.Z.) Oilwells Company, Ltd., * request by the High Commissioner in London to forward to the British Admiralty- a few casks of the company's fuel oil for the purpose of testing its suitability for naval purposes. The company has been asked to forward this with a view of tendering for future suplies. The company hare also been requested to place themselves in communi cation with the Admiralty, Whitehall, London.
