MEETING 01''"GI'1NEKAL COMMITTEE. A meeting of the committee of the above Association, was held at the secretary's oiliee on Saturday afternoon, the president, Mr. E. Jackson, being in the chair. The chairman stated that the committee appointed to consider the ways and means for improving the Association's funds had not yet met. Mr. JO. Grilliths wrote relative to a special train /or stock to he exhibited at the Palmerston Show, and asked that exhibitors should let him know what accommodation wouhl be required, so that the special train could be arranged for. The meeting went into committee f,>r the purpose of selecting a list of judges for the various classes at the forthcoming show. On resuming, the list recommended by the executive was adopted, with the exception of the judge of the fat cattle class, the recommendation as to which was referred bad; to the executive. After an explanation by the president as to the financial position of the Association, it was decided to refer the matter to the Finance Committee, with an indication as to what steps should be taken. On the motion of Mr. .1. 13. Richards, the executive was authorised to make any further appointment of judge's that might be necessary. Mr. R. McK. Morison asked if any move had been made to have a model ■ dairy farm established in the Stratford district.

The president said that he had no definite information to give. After some discussion, it was decided that a further application be made to the Minister of Agriculture for the establishment of the farm, and to urge the claims of the Stratford district as the best locality.'
