A YOUNG MAN'S SUICIDK. By Telegraph.—Press Association. Ohristehurah, July 31. Sydney Hipworth, aged 24, a native of Bedford, England, was found dead on the rircr bank last night. An empty poison bottle was by his flide. In his diary was a statement that lie was tired of life. ATTEMPTED SUICIDE. Thames, July 31. A young man, named Alfred Langford, aged thirty, attempted suicide at a hotel this morning by taking a weak solution of poison. The victim, whose parents reside in the Olil Country, had .been out of work for .some time. He seemed strange in his manner last night and threatened suicide, but waa reproved by the hotelkeeper, who advised him to seek work. He was found in bed in the. morning in a semi-conscious condition. He was sent to the hospital, and though his condition is serious, there is every chance of his recovery.
