ACCIDENTS AND FATALITIES
SEQUEL TO A FIGHT. By Telegraph,—Press Association. Whangarci, July 39. As the result of an altercation in tha back yard of Falconer's Commierciil Hotel last night between the barman (George GradwelL and a young native named Rake Akarana, the' former was knocked down and struck his head' on a stone, sustaining a fracture of the base of the skull. His condition is serious. His depositions' have been taken. The police have not yet found Akarana.
