.. A REDUCTION PROMISED. By (able.—Press Association.—Copyright London, July 28. At a meeting of the Pacific (aole Board, Hob. T. Mackenzie again moved a reduction in the New Zealand tariil. Finding he was unable to smn, a majority he accepted a resolution whic'j wa> carried that the board, recognising the inequitablencs- of the New Zealand tariff, resolves to make further icpresentations to secure a reduction ia the Australian terminal rate. Failing to so-are it before the end nf the financial year the hoard will reduce the _V-,v Zealand rate to 2s tkl.
