"PLYING SQUADRON" AT CARTERTON. By Telegraph.—Press Association. Carterton, July 28. The "flying bquadron" of the Liberal Party, comprising Messrs Isitt and !'• Forbes, grave political addresses here last night to a large audience. Both attacked the Government, accusing it of misrepresentation and calumny to oust the Liberals. The speeches-were \ mainly on the same lines as those given at other places. At the close of the meeting a vote of thanks and a wish that the Progressive Liberal Party would be successful at the coming election, - was carried unanimously, with three ' ■ cheers for Sir Joseph Ward, and an extra one for Mr. Isitt. ' ;
INDEPENDENT CANDIDATE FOR GREY. ! Greymouth, July 28. ' ; (Mr. James Bishop, local manager of' the State mines, will retire on Saturday. He is mentioned as an Independent candidate for the Grey seat.
