EXPORT DUTIES.
ON AUSTRALIAN ORES. By Cable—Press Association—Copyright ' Sydney. July 28. The Inter-State Commission is considering whether an export duty on Australian ores would interfere ' with miners and mining companies'. Witnesses applied for a bounty of Ks per ton on refined copper, arguing that such a bounty would compel the smelting of ores here which are at present sent ahroad.
