The Kaitoa completed the discharge of her cargo of coal yesterday and sailed at 2.30 p.m. for Tarakohe. union co/s Steamers. The Pukaki, en route from southern ports, is expected to leave Wellington to-day for New Plymouth with general cargo. The Mapourika leaves Wellington as usual to-morrow for New Plymouth, being due on Thursday. The Corinna leaves Dunedm on Friday for New Plymouth, via way ports. The Kanna (1948 tons) is loading timbers at Greymouth for Sydney a'nd Newcastle, and after discharge loads coal at the latter port for New Plymouth and Picton.

THE PETONB. The Petone discharged a large quantity of timber yesterday and is expected to complete to-day and sail for Wellington. EXPORTS FROM WAITARA. The Otaki completed loading operations in the Waitara roadstead on Saturday evening and sailed for Timaru with the following cargo for Home markets:—.For London, 1527 quarters of beef, 9633 carcases mutton. 80 carcases lain!), 281 earcases pork, and 608 packages frozen sundries; for Glasgow, 3->0 quarters beef, 1139 sacks boned beef; for Liverpool, 3071 quarters beef, 689 carcases mutton, 100 carcases pork, and 63 boxes of frozen sundries; for Avonmouth, 300 quarters beef, 504 carcases mutton, and 100 carcases pork. CHANGES IX NORTHERN COMPANY'S PERSONNEL. Captain W. F. Norbury, of the Rarawa, has been promoted to the command of the Manaia, in the AucklandWhangaroi rur, vice the late Captain E. Stephenson. Captain W. Bark, of theNgatiawa, will take command of the Rarawa. Captain Dorling, of tke.Rimu, has gone to Wellington to assume charge of the Arapawa, which has lately been purchased by the Northern Company. Captain * Pierotti, late chief officer of the Ngapuhi, has taken temporary command of the Rimti.
