DR. NEWMAN'S VIEWS. By Telegraph.—Press Association. Wellington, Last Night. Owing to tlie unfortunate disarrangement of the slips of the telegraphic report of Tuesday's debate on the Liquor Hill, tUus Hon. Herdman's remarks were attributed to Dr. Newman, thus conveying a wrong impression of the hitter's repeatedly an nouneed views on the subject. As a matter of fact, Dr. Newman declared that he and other friends' of the Bill had decided not to take part in the debate.
