"THE ARGYLE CASE." Anything carrying the imprimatur of the J. C. Williamson Company is always assured of a welcome in New Plymouth. because the name is always associated with what Kipling calls "the bestest that is." On Tuesday, August 4, the firm will present to New Plymouth the-atre-goers the. very latest "in the way of sensational drama. "The Argyle Case," which will be staged at the Theatre Royal, New Plymouth, on August 4, is a magnificent drama, telling the story of a crime in a most convincing manner. It ib not in any sense melodrama, but is a clean, crisp story dramatically enacted. Beautifully constructed, the play has not one moment of languor. It is tense, thrilling, and withal logical throughout, and the charming vein of sentiment that runs through it makes it almost more than human. Naturally, as most modern dramas very properly do, it ends happily, but this desirable aim is achieved only by legitimate means, and the story is never "let down" by artificial stage craft. It is real right through. The box plan will be opened at Collier's Music Warehouse on Friday next, July 31.
