New-some (Taumarunui) on points. Semi-finals: Harrliy beat Venus on points, after a capital bout, very cleanly contested. A. Goodman beat N. Bennetts (Auckland) on points. Final: Goodman heat Oliver on points, in a splendidly-contested bout. Light-weight—J. Mussen (Grcymoutli) Vat Geo. Thomas (Wanganui) on points. James (Auckland) knocked out Stewart (Timaru) in the second round. Pinal: James beat .Mussen on points. Mussen lost the use of his right arm *t the commencement of the last round, and -Tames easily won on points. Welter-weight— L. Wills (Taranaki) beat Keiland (Taumarunui) on points. Heeney (Cisborne) beat Hunter (Wellington) by a knock-out in the first round. Final: Ileeney beat Wills on points by a narrow margin, after a splendid light. Middle-weight—A. Wood (Invcrcargill) beat W. Dickson (Taumarunui) ,m points. P. Manning (Christehurch) bent H. T-vsoii (Otago) oh points. Final: Wood beat Manning. The Christehurch man was down several times in tile last round, and the referee stopped the light a minute before time.
