I London, July 23 Corrected figures show that 'at the sales there were sold for t'he home market SS,uOO bales, for the Continent 3-1 - UOt) bales, for the United State's 17,000 ba.es, and held over 7000 bales. The Bank of New Zealand has received the following cable advice from its London office:—"The sales ll*ve closed firm for all kinds of wool. There is an active demand by all .branches of the trade. Total quantity 'held over 8000 bales, of which 7000 hales are New Zealand. Current prices for North Island farmers' lots: Coarse crossbred 3C's to 4(>'s, lid to ll J / 2 d per lb; medium crossbred 44's to 46's, ll%d to 12y 2 d per lb.
