A SHUNTER'S DEATH. By Telegraph—Press Association. Dunedin, July 24. John Dreaver, a married man, with six children, was the victim of an accident at Kurow station yard last night whilst shunting, which rendered the amputation of his leg necessary. He died early this morning. A SEAMAN DROWNED. Auckland, July 24. A Russian Finn, named John' West, aged CO, fell from the schooner Greyhound, olf Kawau Island, and was drowned. The mate of the vessel, Davies, jumped over, but before he could get to West the latter sank.
