AN UNPLEASANT INCIDENT ENDED. Ey Cable—Press Association—Copyright Vancouver, July 23. Convoyed by the Rainbow, the Komftgata Maru departed peacefully. The militia remained all night on the v.harves. The Hindu committee ashore claim that Gurdit Singh deceived the Komagata Main's passengers as to the real reason for their deportation, and few really knew why they were barred from entrance to Canada.

It is understood, as tlie result of the Komagata Maru incident, the British Government is likely to take up with the United States the question of investigating the political activities of Hindus throughout the United States and Canada.
