"ONLY ONE WAY OUT."
A CLERGYMAN'S SUICIDE. By Cable—Press Association—Copyright Received 24, 8.50 p.m. Sydney, July 24. At the inquest on Canon Flower, evidence was given that deceased was found dead in the bathroom, with a bulletwound in his right temple and a revolver clasped in his hand. He left a note that there was only one way out. His brain had gone, as the result of ten weeks' sleeplessness and utter weakness of body and mind. He scarcely had power to attend to his reading and speaking. He had terrible pains in the head and neck, and everything was in a haze.
The coroner found that deceased died from a self-inflicted bullet wound, while suffering from temporary mental derangement.
