REMARKABLE ACHIEVEMENT.
In these days of fast motor travel it is interesting to know the times recorded and the tests giien to various machines. The ranks of motor-cyclists are ever increasing. At the present season of the year, the roads are not in the be-t of order, and as a rule preclude any good test being made. On Saturday evening last, a lioyal Kuby, ',)'/■_. horse-power, single cylinder, with side-car attaohed, ran into New Plymouth from Wanganui in six and' a half hours. This is a good performance by itself, but the machine and side-car bold no less than live passengers throughout the trip, the total weight carried being close on 4U stone, independent of machine and littings. One passenger was dropped while going up one hill only. A machine of this description that will put U}< a performance like this must undoubtedly be manufactured from the verv highest grade material. The local agent for the' Royal Kuby is-Mr W. A. Clinton, and at bis shop in Silver street, may be seen photos of the machine and pa-'scngcrs that made the WanganiiiNYw Plymouth trip last week. It may be noted that the parly visited various places in New Plymouth on the Sunday, and on Monday morning started on their homeward journey by the same means as they arrived, showing that, the machine was none the worse for its work.—Advt.
