The Daily Telegraph is re-publishing from a New Zealand newspaper an account of the rapidly increasing Chinese settlement in Tahiti. Tt says that the article indicates a development of grave and far-reaching importance. After referring to the flooding of Hawaii with Japanese and Fiji with Hindus and the danger arising therefrom, the Telegraph says that it might yet turn out that while the .Taps, have overwhelmed Hawaii the Chinese have greatly gained predominance in other groups and a new and formidable Asiatic force will have suddenly risen up in the Pacific,.
