There is much feeling against the Hindus as the result of the riotous affray in which a force of police and immigration oilicials were beaten back when they attempted to compel tiie Komagata to leave the harbor. Tiie Canadian Government has authorised the employment of the militia, and, if necessary, of the sailors of the Canadian cruiser Rainbow. The injured men are recovering. The number of casualties amongst tiie Hindus is not kuotru.
