Monster ! forest fires are raging in every direction. | The effect of the drought on the crops is causing anxiety. A dynamite factory at Schlusselburg, Lake Ladoga, was for twenty-four hours threatened with destruction by great peat fireß. Troops endeavored to stifle the flames with liquid mud, but the wind changed to-day, and the factory was saved. J Sehlusselburg was an old fortress, and is now used as a prison town. It has ft population of 5285.
