It is rumored that three members of the visiting New Zealand Rugby Union team expressed a desire to play League football. , The rumor caused a flutter in amateur circles, and it is suggested that the manager of the team should compel all tho members thereof to sign a bond thai they will play through the tour as amateurs.
KATURDAV, FIXTURES.
The Taranaki Hugby Union has decided to cancel all club fixtures for Saturday next, and in lieu thereof matches will be played between Clifton and the rest) of North Taranaki, at Waitara; and between Waimate and the rest oi South Taranaki at a place to be arranged. Teams will be selected today.
