SLEEPING ON THE BEACHES,

A heat wave is spreading over New York State, Missouri, and the Middle West generally. Hundreds are sleeping on Coney Island heacfies. Ten were drowned dtiring the Sunday's bathing. Two young children got out of their depth at Prospect Park. Brooklyn, aud were drowned in full view of several thousand bystanders, wiio did not olTer assistance.
