'"lu> Appeal Court was engaged' iiliia morning in Inuring' argument on certain law points reserved at the. trial in May last of William Thomas Young ou a charge of sedition with reference to a speech made 011 October 20, ll>l3, at the Basin Reserve, Wellington, during the recent waterside workers' strike. Tpie main question id whether the conviction and punishment of William Young for inciting people to resist the police, which was founded upon certain words in the same; speech, the whole of which was loolied at by the Magistrate. Mv Justice Hosking, at the frrial, over-ruled this objection, relying on Holland's rase, and reserved the question for the consideration of the Appeal Court.
