Conan Doyle, interviewed after hie visit to Canada, declared that Canada needs farmers and farm hands, and a hundred thousand women. Co-operation between the existing committees in Canada and Britain lead to the establishment of an enormous matrimonial agency, greatly benefiting botih. If the superfluous women were sent to Canada the Motherland might keep the. farm hands for herself.
