Pankhurst resumed her duties at headquarters at Kingswav. and was immediately re-arrested. Two suffragettes at daybreak attempted to blow up Burns' birthplace. A watchman discovered them plating large bombs against the building. One was captured, hut the other escaped. Mr. Grenville Drew has been sentenced to two months' imprisonment tor publishing a suffragette paper. Hall and Roe. charged with conspiracv to provide imprisoned suffragettes with Jnigß, were found guilty and sentenced to three months' imprisonment. Arms was found not guilty and discharge:!. Mary Richardson, one of the suffragettes, called as a witness at the trial of other suffragettes, complained thit her mouth had been cut bv forcible reeding. She yelled at the judge. "You'll pay the price of Asquith's sin!" and was removed from the Court, veiling and struggling. A VIOLENT PRISONER. Received 9. 10.30 p.m. London, Juh- 9. •'IwS Arthur, arrested in connection with the Burns outrage, was very violent In her cell, and also before the fudge. She carried a considerable sum of money. The other woman escaped on a hieytle.
