The English companies have nothing to fear if they study the interests of their New Zealand customerg. Sydney, July 8. The German Consul, replying to tlia ITerald's criticisms on German lines taking up the New Zealand trade, says the whole undertaking is as much a private business as any other. . Neither company is receiving any subsidy from the German Government. They will take wool not only to German, but to other European ports, so opening the Continental markets for the primary producers of the Dominion.
