TOWN-PLANNING.

It is a long journey from London to the Antipodes, but Messrs. W. E. Davidge, F. 5.1., A.E:1.8.A., A.M.I.C.E. (London Cbunty Council) and Charles C. Reade (organiser of the Australasian Town-planning tour) gladly agreed to come to the Dominion without fee' to help New Zealandors towards a 'better New Zealand. They are not here as financial enthusiasts, with merely a pleasant message, to be heard one evening and forgotten in the morning. Their purpose is to' show the people now to make 'their towns develop beautifully Hnd healthfully. They have got the. right equipment, the right temperament, the right material to assist valuably in ■the formation of progressive policies. They have a great array of illustrations, giving the best available information on tlie making and extension of towns to ensure a maximum of convenience, comfort and inspiring environment, with numerous pictures to make their words memorable. Their aid is free to the people; all that they request is a proper attendance of the public for the profit of the people. Mr Reade lias already made arrangements for a lantern lecture on flarden Cities and Town T>hui«i*g in New Plymouth by Mr Davidg" on l®tb July next.
