SENT TO GAOL. l!,y Cubic- Tress Association—Copyright London, July 3. Maude Edwards was sentenced to three months' imprisonment at Edinburgh, ior damaging the King's picture. The Court was cleared or sympathisers, who were noisily interrupting, while the prisoner shouted incessantly.
Ball.vmetoch House, at Holyrood, Belfast, was burned, the damage amounting to £20,000. It is attributed to the suffragettes. The Women's Freedom League has Written to the King and Mr. Asquith complaining of the absence of women I from the Birthday and New Vear honors list, and enclosing a list of prominent women deserving honor.
