Favored with ideal weather on Thursday the Taranaki Plumpton Coursin" Club early evidenced its virility by pro° viding an excellent day's sport and attracting a large attendance. The hares were good, and the dogs worked well, providing many interesting runs. The officials kept all arrangements well oiled] and tlie success of the meeting is largely due to them. The programme for the day was the completion of the Taranaki Local Maiden Stake and the Open Maiden Stukc, and the decision of the Supplementary Stake. Mr. H. Sole's (Xe\v Plymouth) Stop It had a fairlr „,„,. fortable win in the Local Maiden, Mr. •J. Hannon's fMarton), I.oekett secured the Open Maiden, whilst Mr. C. Evetts' (Oaonui) Miss llonka, which had hard luck on the first day, won the Supplementary Stake. Following are the results:—

TARANAKI LOCAL MAIDEX STAKE, of £'2s, and silver cup donated hv Mi. J. Bennett. Semi-final: Stop It (BVa) beat Hector Girl (2>/ 2 >. Grannie's Girl, a bye. Filial: Stop It (oVi) beat Grannie's Girl (•>). OPEX MAIDEX STAKE, of £35.

Second Round: Skipper's Daughter (2) beat Mick (V;), alter two undecided courses. Red Lancer \i\>,) beat Flyaway L*d Lockett, a bye.

Semi-final: Locki-tt beat Skipper's Daughter. Red Lancer, a bve. Final: Lockt-tt ('10) beat Red Lancer (17). This was the best course of the meeting. I.ockett lasted well and scored a good victory. •SUPPLEMENTARY STAKE. First Round: Silver Bullet beat Battling Nelson. Laundry Girl beat Sam. Zeppelin boat Spot. Marton beat Larry. Bangle beat Lady Pan. Laundry Boy beat Venice. Miss Ilonka -beat Mick. Nell beat Tambo.

Second Round: Silver Bullet beat Laundry Girl. Marton beat Zeppelin. Bangle beat Laundry Boy. Miss I tonka beat Nell.

Semi-final: Marton beat Silver Bullet. Miss Ilonka beat Bangle. Final; Miss Tionka beat Marton.
