By Cable—l-ress association—Copyright Sydney, July 1. Mr. Holman announced that it was his intention to enter upon a new immigration policy similar to that adopted iu New Zealand. Rather than as? sist in increasing the sweltering pollution of Sydney, he would prefer to see the whole scheme of assisted immigration disappear altogether. He proposed to establish a State cotfl mine for railway supplies, to increaM the number of paid Ministers to ten, to amend the Constitution Act to mak» women eligible for election to the State Parliament, to put the trams underground, to establish a system ot gun licenses to check the use of pea rifles, to prohibit monopolies of the neceasittc* of life, to abolish the death sentence, to make illegal the publication of certain j evidence, to make amendments in th« company law, to establish State iron- 1 works, to create a Greater Sydney Council, the present forty-two petty municipalities to be abolished, to frame a new Building Act for the city, and a Town Planning Act for the country. A WORD ABOUT STRIKES. Sydney, July 1. Mr. Holman, in his speech, said that strikes were barbarous and wasteful. Workers would have to make up their minds whether they would have arbitration or strikes. They were not able to have both, 'but the Government would not force arbitration upon those iffiwilling to share its benefits. y
