Mr. Carmichael, tlie Now South Wales Minister of Public Instruction, interviewed, declared that Labor in Australia was pledged to the vigorous development of natural resources. .Employers now appreciated the fact that tlie Government was working earnestly to establish such a scheme of industrial arbitration as would give steadiness to industrial conditions. The Laboritcs found -that projects, which were regarded as dangerously experimental a few years ago, are now being discussed and even adopted in tlie House of Commons.
