We understand that Mr. Oliver Samuel, of New Plymouth, is to be ro-appointed to tlie Legislative Council. Mr Clement Elliofct, chairman, of the Otorohanga Town Board, to at present on a visit to his brother, Mr B. HJiiott, of New Plymouth, after 13 years' a.bsencc.
At the Inglewood Druids'. Hall on Monday evening Mrs. Wicks tead was entertained by her many friends on the eve of her departure from Inglewood, and presented by Mr. if. Thomson, on behalf of the Golf Club, with a silver cake basket.
