He will lcavl lor Norfolk Island shortly to ascertain; the zoological and geographical position of the island It is uncertain whether it is Australian. New Zealand or Polynesian It H generally imagined that] New Zealand was once joined to Loul Howe and Norfolk Islands. If so, thi animals in Norfolk Inland should show, a relationship to New Zealand, rathfr than to Australia. j
