For Taranaki, King among the forwards was a star of the highest magnitude and was Weill supported by Parker and Kyle, who both played a good ganie. Of the backs, Hooker, Frewin and Tichton were the best of an even lot. For Vi'-anganui, McDonald in the forwards was easily the best and wa|s well supported by an even pack. Of the backs Bidders was easily the 'best, and in fact waq the best back on the ground. He was ably supported by Roseoe and Gibson, but the latter missed one or two good passes. Mr A.
