NATIONALISATION.
INCREASES THE WORKING COST. By Cable—Press Association—Copyright London, June 25. Giving evidence before the Railways Sir Charles Owens declared that nationalisation must increase the working cost. This would have to be met either by increased railway rates or national taxation. The Labor vote was 'becoming more powerful yearly, and the poor taxpayer would have to bear the burden.
