ARBITRATION COURT.
NBYV PLYMOUTH SESSION. A sitting of the Arbitration Court will be opened in New Piymouth to-day at 10 a.m., Mr. Justice Stringer presiding, with Messrs. Scott and McCullough also on the bench. ' The cases set down for Sicaiing are as follows: — Taranaki Bakers and Pastrycooks, for award in accordance with _ the recent settlement in the Oonciiiation Council. , Everett Cave v. the Opunake Wharf Co., Ltd., a claim for £454 13s 4<l for injuries received whilst employed on the reconstruction and retaining work at the wharf, or in the alternative for £2 10s per week until £SOO is paid, namely, for 3 years 10 months and the week from the time of the accident —April 30, 1913. The action is not defended. Ellen Smitih., widow of the late Frank SmitJh, v. the N.Z. Express Co., Ltd., £390 compen.-ation for the loss' of her husband in the Kaimata tragedy while in the employ of the Company.
