ACCIDENTS AND FATALITIES

FALL FROM A TRAIN. By Telegraph—Press Association. Auckland, Last Night. The nature of the fatality at Ellerslie on Monday night or yesterday morning, in which the victim was a resident of Newton, named Thos. HeffernaH, aged 55 years, was investigated by the Coroner this morning. He found that death was due to shock and hemorrhage, adding that deceased had apparently fallen from a railway bridge as it was passing over the bridge from Ellerslie, and then fallen through the bridge to the ground. There was no evidence to show how the deceased came to fall from the train.
