I Scores have been driven from their homes in Kansas City. The whole of the wheat fields were swept away, the corn damaged, and much live stock lost, (is the result of heavy rains. The rivers Hooded the surrounding country, and railroad traffic is demoralised. Many towns are isolated . Storms in Central Ohio injured twenty persons, damaging thousands of dollars' worth 'of property. The tornado passed through Shelley county, working havoc among buildings and 'destroying the telephone and telegraph service. Lightning fired two large oil tanks near Newark, and many farm buildings were ignited.
