The birthday honors include four new peers, among whom are the Right Hon. Justice Sir H. H. Cozens Hardy and Sir E<lgar Vincent. Lord Kitchener receives an earldom.

There are four new Privy Councillors,

including Mr. Joseph Cook (Premier of Australia), Mr. 11. J. Tennant ('Parliamentary Under-Secretary at the War Office) and Mr. Ellis Griffith (UnderSecretary of State for the Home Department). Eight baronetcies have been granted, including the Lord Mayor of London, and twenty-eight knighthoods. The Earl of Liverpool (Governor of New Zealand), Mr. Borden (Premier of Canada), General Rundle (of Malta) and Admiral Bonsanquet have been granted Grand Crosses of the Order of St. Michael and St. George (G.C.M.G.) Mr. Irvine, Attorney-General of the Commonwealth, and Major-General Godley, of New Zealand, have been made Knights Commander of the Order of St. Michael and St. George (K.C.M.G.) Mr. William Barlow, of the University of Adelaide, Colonel Jolm William Parnell, of Australia, Mr. Parr, Mayor of Auckland, have been made Companions of the Order of St. George (C.M.G.) Dr. George Mawson, explorer, and Mr. Thomas Peter Stuart, of Sydney University, have been made Knights Bachelor. Mr. Robert Nivison has been made a baronet; Admiral Reginald Henderson has received a G. 0.8.; Lord Beauchamp has been made Knight of the Garter, and Lord Kinnaird a Knight of the Thistle.
