CARR BRIDGE FATALITY.
TRAIN FALLS INTO A RIVER. By Cable—Press Association—Copyright London, June 19.
Four bodies have been recovered at Carr Bridge.The engine and one coach passed over the bridge safely, and were then derailed. A moment later the bridge collapsed. The couplings broke. Three carriage which were on the bridge sunk in the liood. One struck the bed of the river. One half of the train with passengers was swept away. The passengers in the other coaches scrambled to the banks. One man was saved through clinging to a floating tree, which carried him half a mile.
