Lord Crewe, questioned in the House of Lords, admitted that Captain Bellinglmm, aide-de-camp to Lord Aberdeen, inspected the Nationalist volunteers and told tliem that their duty was to ensure the triumph of Home Rule. He had since explained that he spoke under the influence of local surroundings and expressed regret. The incident then closed.
The police have been informed that large quantities of the latest pattern American rifles and ammunition for the Nationalist volunteers would be landed in Connemara. Coastguards sighted a mysterious vessel during the week. Tor-pedo-boats arc now patrolling the coast*

London, June 19. The provisional committee of the tionalist volunteers deputed two members to wait on Mr. Redmond and urge steps for the immediate withdrawal of the arms proclamation.
