FIRES.

By Telegraph—Press Association. Wanganui, June 10. A fire' broke out at 7 o'clock this morning in a two-storied wooden shop in the Arena'!, occupied by the Victoria Tea Rooms, Frost, draper, and PoPynter, bookseller. The outbreak originated in the tea rooms upstairs and made a clean sweep. The ahop3 downstairs were damaged seriously by water. The building was owned by Mrs John Anderson and insured for £9OO, the tearoom furnishings for £350, the draper's < «tock for £2OOO. Poynter'3 damage was »Uo covered.
