THE CITIZENS' BAND.
AN INDIGNATION MEETING. There was a full dieting of the Citizens' Band in the bandsmen'* hall last night. Mr Cummins, the conductor, owing to the nature of the 'business to be discussed, retired, and Mr F. Coleman took the chair. After reference to the resolution passed by the Citizens' Committee to engage a new conductor, Mr Coutbliart proposed, and Mr Mcintosh seconded, "That the band refuses to acknowledge the right ef the Citizens' Committee to interfere with their conductor, and they are determined to retain their present conductor."
All the members spoke forcibly in favor of the resolution, which was carried unanimously t>nd will be forwarded to the Citizens' Committee.
The band also passed a vote of sympathy with M; Cummins and an expression of continued confidence in him.
