MONTHLY MEETING. The ordinary monthly meeting, to have been hold on Friday, lapsed, and wa3 he'd on Monday. Present: Crs. W. C. Dudley (chairman), E. Maxwell, S. Campbell, S. Farc;uhar, T. Harvey, P. Willcox. An apology was received fronii Cr. Hurst. DAMAGE. Thc'Pari'luiA-a Road Board wrote that the Council contractors had cut up the blind road leading to 'Mr. Revel's property.—The engineer said the road was never formed, anu not much used. —The i Council instructed the engineer to have | the road repaired. : P'JNIHO. I The Taranaki County Council wrote that it was deemed advisable to olace in a pipe culvert at the junction of Puniho and Main South roads, and as the work will be of benefit to ratepayers witlhin Egmont County, that tfhey contribute one-tin. d of the cost. The Werekino Eoad Board has agreed to pay one-third cost, and Taranaki Council one-third. —The engineer was instructed to meet the Taranaki engineer, and consult and report at next meeting. The statement of timber royalty paid for the road showed that Parkea and Brooker paid £67 and Opunake Sawmilling Company about £SO.

The statement of accounts in connection with the complimentary luncheon to Hon. To foe made up as follows: Egmont Council £25, Pariha:a Road Board £7 Us, Town Board £5.

GRAVEL ROYALTY. The Reserres agent wrote in reply to the Council's resolution at last meeting: That a similar notice had been sent to the other Councils in that provincial district and none of theuv demurred at the amount asked for, namely, 3d. per cubic yard. The Council went into committee to deal with a report presented by the engineer concerning the Council's bylaws regarding -heavy traffic and hawker's licenses. —Legal action will result.

In reply to Cr. -Maxwell, the engineer said the roller and scarifier would commence at Puniho in aljout 14 days' tim*. Accounts and .progress payments amounting to 1311 were pusscd for payment.
