THE I.W.YV. OX A WRECKING EXPEDITION.
By Cable—Press Association—Copyright New York, June 14. There is serious rioting in Buttle, Montana, as the outcome of labour troubles. Unionists who were parading the streets were attacked by the Industrial Workers of the World with stones and other missiles. The attackers stormed and wrecked the Union Hall, throwing the furniture and" pianos out of the windows.
The Mayor appealed for order and the mob threw him out of a second storey window.
A crowd of ten thousand watched the disturbance, which wan only quelled when the rioters thought the troops were coming.
